Please give us much notice as possible when you require repeat prescriptions of drugs.

Ensure that you give the following details:-

We require at least 24 hours notice to supply drugs for the following reasons:-

1. Our reception staff need to check your records to determine the correct medication.
2. Authorisation has to be sought from one of the veterinary surgeons.
3. We have to ensure that the drugs are available and on our shelves.
4. If the drugs are out of stock we need to order them from our wholesalers.
5. We also have to ensure that your pet does not require a further examination.
6. Under normal circumstances we need to re-examine your pet every 3 to 4 months if it is on long-term medication, although this interval can be longer OR shorter. A charge for professional time will be made where necessary.
7. At busy times in reception it is unreasonable to expect our staff to spend time putting up drug orders when waiting clients need personal attention.
